This page has been created in response to the Corona Virus Pandemic. In a time of our Churches being closed and remote learning for education, these resources may provide opportunities to engage with formal prayer, liturgies, reflective readings, on-line live prayer, conversation starters, and the like. They may help in providing ideas and links to resources that will assist in the space of praying individually as well as communally with colleagues and students in a time when face-to-face opportunities for prayer are needing new approaches. (Newer links will be added to the top of this page).
Please also look through other pages on this site that suggest ways in which to use digital technology to Pray communally and individually, as well as ways in which to learn about Faith, Prayer, Religious Education & Catholic Social Teachings.

It's difficult to keep up with how much has happened and how our lives have changed recently. We are all feeling some uncertainty as our daily routines are upended. We adjust. We take care of our families, friends, and neighbors. We make it work.
Pray with these young adults at the end of the week for about 20 minutes with reflections and praying the Examen. NB - each of these session is available for playback - the one from the 15th is a good one for Laudato Si.

Pope Francis reflects upon what these days are teaching him
Pope Francis spends his days in the Vatican following closely the news on the coronavirus emergency. Last Sunday, 16th March, he went to Santa Maria Maggiore and to the church of San Marcello al Corso to pray. In an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, he spoke about what these days are teaching him.
"We can find small concrete gestures expressing closeness towards the people close to us."

World Vision
As Christians, we turn to God in times of fear and uncertainty as we do in times of joy and celebration. Please join us as we pray for God’s heart of love, mercy, and truth to dwell in us and show us how to face the challenges posed by the new Corona virus. (updated January 2022) |
The Sisters of St Joseph have provided some prayers from a variety of sources on their website to assist in these difficult days.

The Website gratefulness.org founded by Br David Steindl-Rast, has many resources including the blog in the image above. Throughout the world, lighting candles is a sacred ritual. We light a candle for many purposes: to illuminate darkness, dedicate prayers, solidify intentions, offer blessings, evoke Spirit, and/or to nourish grateful living. 21,564,864 candles have been lit from 194 countries, including 2,581 candles in the last two days.(23/4/20) |
